Science...what do you think?
Feb 9 2009, 12:28 PM EST
Why do I like science? Because it helps me make sense of the world. Like, have you ever wondered how a rainbow is formed? Well, it all has to do with refraction of light, and how light changes when it enters a new medium. And how about why your eye has a blind spot in it. We all have it because that's where your optic nerve attaces to your retna. It's really great fun to find the blind spot. I think that kind of stuff is amazing, plus, when you're the teacher, you get to mix up all kinds of chemicals and see what happens.

I like science for the simple reason that, I enjoy making experiments and testing different chemicals. Science is a subject which is unique, you can actually try out new things and ideas. I enjoy science and I am eager to learn a lot more!!!!

I like science because there is always something new to learn. When you think you know everything a scientist discovers something new. A scientist needs to try new things without knowing the result, and this gives the subject lots of mystery. I look forward to learning more!!!

i think science is a ways of explaining everything that is, was, and will be on earth. it tells you how you were made, and why you have all of your characteristics. it is an interesting way of showing you all of the things of the world (which are very fascinating).

I like science because of the variety. As many of you said, experiments are really fun and they explain the world. In science, we do so many things from seeing if yeast is alive, to magnetism, which are all exciting. Science is so fun and there are always new things. So far in middle school, science has been one of my favorite classes because of the fun we have and I know it's gonna continue to be that way. Go science!!

I like science because as Catarina knows, I'm a tinkerer. I like to mess around with things until I figure them out. In science there is no end to all of the things I can figure out. Plus it is just such a drawing subject. I especially like working with biology (not sure if that includes genetics but that's really great and no Karim I'm not being a suck up.) I want to be a vet and so I just like this stuff.

Of course science can't explain everything, but most of our enquires find a lot of very good answers! Do you find this valuable? |

Science to me is mostly about the hands on experiments. It’s really fun to try and find results, and if it fails, you get to start again. I love, like Sofi said, the variety. The color, smell, texture! The thousands of possibilities when they combine! It’s all so exiting. Science may not be my favorite or best class but the world, the universe revolves around it. It is part of our nature itself! So...YAY science :-D!!

i think science is all about life and how its formed. Science is what helps us understand things that some of us cant explain. Its also very fun because you get to discover new things and things that you didn't think were possible. I really like science its a really great subject because of the fun things we do and the new things we learn!!!!Do you find this valuable? |

I think science is a very big subject and there is always something for you to learn. Science is so big that there are different mini subjects in them like cells, physical science, earth science, astronomy, life science etc. Everything in the world around you has something to do with science. Science is everywhere. Science helps understand things better and is so important in our lives that we don’t even realize it.

I like Science because you learn you new things thanks to it. The world is like a mystery and science is the key that leads you to understanding how things work and why things happen the way they do. It creates the awareness that cannot be found in many other places and at the same time it is both interesting and fun. You can perform an experiment, read a book or even take a walk and in it you will probably find something related to science. That is what makes the world such an interesting place, the mystery which grabs our attention and answer towards solving, lies within science.

Science is what explains how the world was created, how we are able to live, and why plants are green.Science can just about explain everything and I find it a lot of fun to experiment and to find out for myself what other scientists have discovered. Why would anyone not like a subject that gives you so much information and knowledge about the world and the universe for that matter.
